Day of Disruption - Horn Honking Protest for Monday at Denver Capitol


Local A.M. radio talk show host Michael Brown proposed a horn honking protest at the Colorado State Capitol for Monday March 4th at 9am. This is when the 4 Gun Control Bills are to be read by the Senate. The intent is to create such a disturbance, that business cannot be conducted and if they're semi-intelligent, will understand the message.

Michael Brown is taking a cue from the 2001 Tennessee protest that forced plans for a State income tax to be dropped.


If you're in the area, take an extra long lunch and drive around the Capitol as long as you can with your horn blaring. The protest is to be an all day event, for as long as the Senate is in session so you can join in later if needed.

If there are any truckers out there with those beautifully loud air horns, come on down and lay it on heavy.

You don't have to have a semi to get a loud horn. You can go buy some air horns at your local China-Mart and use those too.

Commierado Dem Pulls The Ol' Switcheroo

 
A reader sent me the following from the local town forum for Bailey and Conifer:

Last week, Senator Jeanne Nicholson gave her constituents another reason to despise politicians... Here's what happened:
    * Nicholson published plans for two town hall meetings in Evergreen on Saturday.
    * 2nd Amendment supporters (her constituents) made plans to attend those meetings.
    * On Friday, Nicholson leaked news that she would only hold one town hall in the Evergreen Library.
    * Many of you attended the town hall and reported that Nicholson appeared ignorant of the issues and claimed to be "undecided" saying little other than she wanted to hear from all her constituents before making a decision. Only 3 gun-ban supporters identified themselves at the meeting, but 100s of pro-2nd Amendment advocates showed up.
    * Secretly, Nicholson held a second Town Hall meeting in Evergreen and invited her closest supporters and reporters from the Canyon Courier.

That's right. Senator Nicholson lied to you about not having a position and then told her "friends" the truth in their secret meeting ON THE SAME DAY. Senator Nicholson can accuse "conspiracy theorists" of applying nefarious intent to innocent events, but it is not hard to publish dates, times, and locations of town hall meetings on your web site IF you want to hear from your constituents. Apparently, Senator Nicholson only wants to hear from some of her constituents.
 

We now believe that Senator Nicholson is planning another Town Hall meeting on Sunday, March 3rd at 1:30 pm at Conifer High School.

Senator Nicholson is one of six Colorado Senators being targeted by Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO). She's being targeted because her constituents don't like these bills, but she thinks she can sneak around and pretend to be undecided while telling the Canyon Courier and friends that they are "reasonable". Let her know she can't get away with it.

Tell Senator Nicholson to vote NO on HB 1224, 1226, 1228, and 1229!
  • HB-1224: Bans all magazines that hold more than 15 rounds.
  • HB-1226: Bans armed self-defense on college campuses; expanding criminal safe-zones to all state college and university campuses.
  • HB-1228: Imposes a Jim Crow-style gun tax on all purchases. This legislation has no limit on the amount the CBI could charge for a background check.
  • HB-1229: Bans the private sale of firearms and institutes universal background checks/gun registration for all Colorado gun owners.

Just like the McLachan, she needs to burned with her feet to the fire.

Their mindset and way of thinking is this: "No consequences? No problem."

Give her and others like her a consequence.

Make it a problem.

Give them a reason NOT to vote against Constitutionally acknowledge God-given rights.

Patriots In Colorado Serve Recall Notice To Democratic State Rep

Recently there was a Town Hall meeting with Democrat State Rep. Mike McLachlan, a former Marine who served in Vietnam, and Republican State Sen. Ellen Robert.

Let's just say it didn't go too well for McLachlan.

A newly formed group called Colorado Accountability was there to hold his feet to the fire. They also served official papers informing him of a recall petition being filed against him.

Thanks to reader Mark who sent me this info in regards to the 4 anti-gun bills recently passed in the Colorado House.
The little socialist being served in the video personally promised many in this Town Hall hands off 2a.  He was the deciding committee vote that allowed this crap to the assembly floor.  He is also the most vulnerable democrat for a recall.

Has he never heard of the words by Benjamin Franklin?

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

“It’s very frustrating for me because I consider myself a centrist,” he said. “There’s such a great divide on this issue, and it’s so emotional that I don’t know we’ll ever be able to come to consensus.”
Well there's his problem! He's willing to compromise, to give up essential freedoms to appease everyone. In other words, he has no moral conviction.

He was even called 'traitor' during this meeting and he has no idea why.

This is what's needed. These politicians NEED to have their feet held to a HOT fire. If they're 'traitors', they need to be recalled NOW, not during the next election. As long as they continue to suffer no meaningful consequences, things will not change and our liberties will continue to be voted away, one bill at a time.

Similar to the Berlin Airlift, the Boulder Airlift will bring much needed supplies to freedom-loving residents trapped inside occupied territory. While we plan to initially use FedEx or UPS instead of aerial delivery, we figure that $5 flat rate shipping will make up for any loss of “style points.”

The increases we have made and continue to make in production capacity will allow us to open this program with very minimal impact on the number of PMAGs we are shipping to our dealers and distributors out of the state. Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn is not a 2nd Amendment supporter.

He wants your guns taken away.

A few years ago he said:
“My message to my troops is if you see anybody carrying a gun on the streets of Milwaukee, we’ll put them on the ground, take the gun away, and then decide whether you have a right to carry it,” in response to a statement from Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen recognizing that residents of the state have a right to carry firearms openly.

Magpul Sticks Finger In Commierado's Eye

Our customers outside of Colorado, please know that our PMAG production will continue at an ever-increasing rate until we do relocate, shipments to our distributors in other states will continue, and that we do not expect relocation to significantly impact PMAG production. Colorado Wants To Hold 'Assault Weapon' Owners, Sellers, and Makers Liable

Colorado Senate President John Morse unveiled the details of a new gun-control bill aimed squarely at those who own, sell or manufacture a class of weapons he says have “no public benefit” and “no business on our streets or in our forests”: military-style assault weapons.

The bill will hold gun sellers and manufacturers liable for damage caused by their weapons if they don’t conform to “the highest degree of care” in ensuring those weapons aren’t sold to future criminals. It makes owners of such weapons responsible for every shot fired outside the confines of a private residence.

“You fire this weapon, you own that bullet, whatever it does,” Morse said during a press conference announcing the details of the bill, which will be introduced in the state Senate on Wednesday.

The bill defines an “assault rifle” as any firearm other than a handgun, shotgun, bolt-action or lever-action rifle.

“These guns are four times as powerful as handguns,” he said. “That means they’re more effective at killing, they’re more efficient at killing, and they do a lot more collateral damage when they’re used.”

“There are people who believe they have the right to own these guns,” he continued, “but we need to be better at making sure that we’ve articulated clearly the responsibility that goes along with these guns.”

The bill exempts those who use an assault weapon to defend themselves or others inside a dwelling in response to a threat of physical force. Also excluded are police officers and military personnel acting within the scope of their duties.

Everyone else — from the shooter to the manufacturer — could be on the hook for civil damages.

Denver Day of Resistance Write Up

Protesters from across the state of Colorado scaled the steps up to the capitol building in Denver, rallying against the proposed gun control measures legislators will be voting on later this year. It was called the Denver Day of Resistance.

An estimated 400 to 500 people made it to the rally, and passers-by showed their support by honking regularly as they drove past the crowd.

There was no counter-protest, there was no conflict with the police, just a few hundred people cheering, singing, praying and showing their support for gun rights. It was one “hallelujah” short of preaching to the choir, although there were plenty of “amens.”

The crowd was made up of a blend of Colorado residents of all races and had all of the hallmarks of a proper gun rights protest. There was the dude dressed as the American flag, a couple wearing Civil War-era outfits, vets in and out of uniform, but it was mostly regular people there with their families, with their boyfriends and girlfriends, and people showing up by themselves to show support.

Although the turnout was decent, I was  a little disappointed that more didn't show up.

I personally asked 2 of my gun buddies to go. One said he prefers writing his reps as his course of action and declined to go. The other didn't want to go because the Capitol was closed on Saturday's so he felt his presence wouldn't make a difference.

Damn it man! If you don't get out there to stand and be counted, you are part of the problem!

Federal court: No Second Amendment Guarantee For Concealed Carry

The Second Amendment's guarantee of a right to bear arms does not extend to the right to carry a concealed weapon in public, a federal appeals court in Denver has ruled.

"We conclude that the carrying of concealed firearms is not protected by the Second Amendment . . ." Justice Carlos Lucero wrote on behalf of a three-judge panel of the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Lucero cited case law dating to the 1800s that put restrictions on walking around in public with a gun.

"In light of our nation's extensive practice of restricting citizens' freedom to carry firearms in a concealed manner, we hold that this activity does not fall within the scope of the Second Amendment's protections," he wrote in the ruling issued Friday.

CMMG Joins, Issues Statement


CMMG, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW POLICY ON STATE REGULATION OF FIREARMS

The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and all law abiding gun owners in our country are currently under assault. Since the horrible tragedy in Connecticut, politicians and media alike are actively demonizing and criminalizing citizens of these great United States who are exercising their rights under the Second Amendment. The emotional responses and decisions being made right now are extremely dangerous and short sighted.

As individual states elect to pass more restrictive gun laws, CMMG will adhere to each state’s regulations. However, CMMG has made a policy decision that it will not supply products to law enforcement agencies in states that have enacted legislation preventing individual citizens from owning similar firearms. CMMG will no longer provide these agencies with firearms, magazines or any other products that are restricted or no longer available to civilians. CMMG will not stand by on the sidelines and let America’s rights be stripped away. CMMG will not support states that have police departments and law enforcement agencies arming themselves with firearms and weapons that are not available to law abiding citizens. CMMG does not believe in separate classes of citizens and will not engage in sales to states that enact legislation promoting that belief.

CMMG will, however, make exceptions to police departments and law enforcement agencies that have taken a public stand refusing to recognize or enforce unconstitutional firearm restrictions. Agencies making this stand are putting their careers on the line to take a constitutional stand for all Americans as fellow citizens. Abraham Lincoln spoke on June 16, 1858, and stated that "a house divided against itself cannot stand;” CMMG supports those who support our freedom.

CMMG, as industry partners, and gun owners (including law enforcement agencies), need to stand up and stand together to counter this assault on our freedom and our constitutional rights. The Constitution is the supreme legal authority in our land, and we are bound by its words. It states in the Preamble that it was written to "form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.” The Founding Fathers agreed the best way to establish this was through the Bill of Rights which includes the Second Amendment. Let us take this stand together, unified, to continue allowing this country to be the beacon of freedom to the world.

As state and local jurisdictions are increasingly passing laws which infringe upon the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, J&G Sales is implementing a new policy on shipping restricted items to these states and localities.

Effective immediately, laws that restrict firearms, ammunition, or magazine possession by law abiding citizens will also be applied to state and local law enforcement and government agencies in that jurisdiction. All residents will be treated equally. Honorable citizens, law enforcement personnel, and government agents, should all be allowed to utilize the most effective defensive equipment available.

Democide: Socialism, Tyranny, Guns and Freedom
Democide is the elimination of a despised group by a government. It includes genocide, politicide, and other forms of state-sponsored mass murder. The hated minority headed for extermination may be defined by religious, racial, political, class, cultural or other attributes. Between 200 and 260 million people were the victims of democide in the 20th century, several times more than were killed in international wars during that period.

 
The first widely studied modern democide occurred in Turkey between 1915 and 1923, when the Turkish government decided to eliminate the country’s Christian minority, primarily ethnic Armenians and Greeks who had Turkish roots extending back to before the Islamic conquest. Two million Christians were murdered on forced marches into deserts without water or food. This democide occurred in view of Western reporters, who took photographs and posted contemporary wire reports. The fact that the democide was known outside Turkey did not deter the Turkish leaders.
 

The Armenian Genocide, as it has become known, was also widely known inside Turkey, where the majority Muslim population either supported or at least passively tolerated the democide. It was impossible to miss the sight of thousands of Christians at a time being rounded up and force-marched through towns and into the burning deserts on one-way trips.
 

Stalin and Hitler both noticed the lack of world reaction to the democide of Turkish Christians and planned accordingly. In the Soviet Union, Stalin’s henchmen purged millions of “kulaks” (farmers deemed to have too much wealth), intellectuals, businessmen, and anyone who had ever traveled outside the USSR or even had had contact with foreigners.
 

In Germany and Nazi-occupied Europe, Hitler proceeded with his own “final solution to the Jewish problem.” Where the German national socialists simply eliminated Jews as quickly as possible in mass graves and gas chambers, Stalin’s international socialists deported their “class enemies” to Siberia, where they were put to work in Gulag slave-labor camps, with years of torture through cold, malnutrition and brutal working conditions preceding the release of eventual death.
 

Stalin also devised another means of democide when he ordered the forced starvation of the Ukrainians, and five million more innocent victims were added to his totals. In Communist China seventy million people were the victims of democide, murdered by overwork in slave-labor camps, by direct execution, and by regional forced starvation. Millions more were victims of democide in Pakistan, Cambodia, Rwanda, North Korea, and many other countries.
 

Democide, as the name implies, does not happen in the dark of night without any awareness of it in the country where it occurs. The Turks knew the Christians were being mass murdered. Average Germans were fully aware of what was happening to the Jews between 1938 and 1945, and a large majority either actively supported or at least tolerated it. (I strongly recommend reading Hitler’s Willing Executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust, by Daniel Goldhagen, to fully appreciate the wholehearted German support for the Jewish democide.)
 

Today, we sometimes hear that the Second Amendment has outlived its usefulness, that it is a relic of our barbaric past and is no longer needed in the modern era. Horrific mass shootings by deranged individuals are cited as the primary reason for Americans to surrender their most effective firearms and rely solely on a state monopoly of force for their protection. This government-dependent attitude is shortsighted, historically ignorant, and extremely dangerous.
 

In each of the cases cited above, a necessary preliminary step on the road to democide was the confiscation of privately owned firearms. In Turkey, “reasonable” gun control laws enacted in 1911 permitted the democide of two million Turkish Christians a few years later. In Germany, the “commonsense” 1928 gun control laws of the Weimar Republic preceded Hitler’s Holocaust by a decade.
 

The Weimar politicians did not intend for their gun control laws to lead to the slaughter of millions of people, but it is an historical fact that those gun control laws permitted the Nazis to carry out their Holocaust. How? By making it economically and militarily feasible to round up and mass murder entire towns without any significant resistance.
 

In fact, the Nazis quickly learned that they needed only a hundred ordinary military policemen to exterminate towns of a thousand Polish Jews in a single day. Contrast that fact with the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. If the Jews had not first been disarmed, using previous gun registration lists as a map for confiscation, the Holocaust would not have been possible.
 

Likewise in the Soviet Union and in every other case, democide was preceded by “reasonable and commonsense” firearms registration, followed eventually by gun confiscation and then by the extermination of a despised minority population.
 

During the past two centuries, while America has avoided tyranny, Turkey, Germany, Russia and the other nations mentioned above have spasmodically lurched between monarchs, democratically elected leaders, and often quite popular dictators, allowing them frequent opportunities to commit democide against their unwanted minorities.
 

The situation is fundamentally different in America, because we have a centuries-old tradition of private firearms ownership guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution. The Second Amendment does not “grant” us this right; it puts into writing our God-given natural right to effective self-defense, including armed defense against tyranny.
 

“Pure democracy” has been described as two wolves and a sheep voting on their dinner plans. The two wolves might see this election as an expression of their highest democratic values, but for the outnumbered sheep, pure democracy is highly problematic. On the other hand, a republic has been described as two wolves and a well-armed sheep voting on dinner plans. The well-armed sheep can veto the outcome of the dinner election simply by brandishing its firearm. The sheep has inherent rights as a sovereign individual, including the right to self-defense, a right that cannot be stripped away by a simple majority vote.
 

So, when a democratically elected American president speaks of “fundamentally transforming” his country, and of his need to act outside the constitutional framework, the population should be on guard. When that leader begins to push for strict new “commonsense and reasonable” gun control laws, including national firearms registration in the name of “public safety,” the citizenry should be on high alert.
 

Can any glib politician, pundit or ivory tower academic give us an ironclad guarantee that tyranny will never arise in the United States? Not even a popular tyranny, like those of Ataturk, Stalin, Hitler or Mao? Can anyone assure us that today’s “commonsense” gun registration lists will not be used for future gun confiscation? Of course not.
 

The future may be unknowable, but history is well understood, and American gun owners know and understand the history of democide in the 20th century. That is why they will never accede to what is currently portrayed in the predominantly left-wing mainstream media as “commonsense and reasonable” new gun control laws.
 

While American gun owners lament and regret the inescapable fact that deranged individuals in a free country may on rare occasions murder a dozen or a score of unarmed victims, they also understand that government democide murders by the million. And in every case, tyrants can conduct these democides only after disarming their unwanted minorities, rendering them helpless to resist murderous government pogroms.
 

American gun owners will never permit this historical pattern to be repeated in their country, because they understand that the government’s heavy hand will be kept in check only as long as they are armed. Ask yourself: Were the Armenians, the Jews or the kulaks treated better, or worse, after they were disarmed and rendered helpless by their oppressors, who thereafter held an absolute government monopoly on armed violence? The answer is too obvious to require elaboration.
 

Naive utopians and other “low-information voters” might not understand the historical pattern, and we don’t expect them to bother to learn it. Cynical and dishonest “progressives” who do understand the historical pattern cannot yet reveal their ultimate goal of creating a disarmed and helpless American citizenry. Nevertheless, millions of Americans understand their hidden aim with crystal clarity, seeing through the false sincerity of power-hungry leftist politicians who are actually Marxist wolves dressed in Democrat sheep’s clothing—for now.
 

But unless and until these secret Stalinists and sundry other “progressives” can figure out a way to disarm Americans, they cannot execute their historically standard final solution to the “reactionaries-standing-in-the-way-of-utopia” problem. And this is a thorny problem for them, because tens of millions of Americans, disbelieving their deceitful bromides, will stick to their guns no matter what.
 

Unlike the Armenians, Jews, kulaks and other exterminated peoples, Americans who support the Second Amendment will never be disarmed quietly by government edict prior to meekly boarding a train to a socialist “reeducation” camp. They will not be taken at government gunpoint on a one-way forced march into a desert or a Zyklon-B “delousing shower,” simply because they foolishly agreed to be disarmed by their future oppressors in the dubious name of “public safety.”
 

If American “progressives” truly intend to disarm the American people, they will have to do it the hard way, by taking their bullets first, one at a time. As the 300 Spartans announced to the vastly larger Persian army at Thermopylae, “Molon Labe!”
 

You want our guns? Then come and take them!

2 More Companies Join The Effort


2 more companies have made announcements today to side with the 2nd Amendment and fellow Citizens.

Effective Immediately!! Due to the recent changes in 2nd Amendment laws that are pending or currently enforced by states across the country, the J&T Family of Companies which includes J&T Distributing, DoubleStar Corp., Ace Limited, and the DoubleStar Training Academy has been forced to reassess our policies regarding government and law enforcement sales. Effective immediately, the J&T Family of Companies will be joining other manufacturers and distributors by ceasing sales of regulated items in states that have altered the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms.

 
The JTFOC will no longer sell prohibited items to law enforcement agencies or any government agencies in states, counties, cities, and municipalities that have enacted restrictive gun control laws against their law abiding citizens. We hope other companies will join us with their support. We applaud those already involved with this effort to protect our 2nd Amendment rights.

These bills still need to pass through Senate Committee and be passed by the Senate itself before it moves to the Governor's office. Contact your Senator and politely explain why HB 13-1224 is bad policy, will harm the rights of law abiding citizens, and drive jobs out of the state while doing nothing to improve public safety.

Missouri Democrat's War on Guns - The Tables Turn

Last week, Missouri Democrats introduced a bill that would ban semi-automatic rifles and give law-abiding gun owners 90 days to turn in their firearms to law enforcement or become felons. This week, a GOP state representative has turned the tables to make a point.

Rep. Mike Leara (R-St. Louis) introduced legislation Monday that would make “any member of the general assembly who proposes legislation that further restricts an individual’s right to bear arms” guilty of a class D felony.
